It is mostly grown for its velvety, green, purple hairy leaves. Ginura is an easy-care flower. It likes bright and humid places with plenty of light, does not like direct sun. In the shade, the leaves lose their beauty. It likes humus, acidic, moist and permeable soils. It requires regular and plentiful water in the summer, but care must be taken as over-watering causes root rot. New plants can be produced from the cut branches.
